Museum Races Draw Record Number of Runners and Walkers
A record 1,032 runners and walkers registered for the 14th Annual Museum of Aviation Foundation Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5K Run/Walk, making it the largest Museum running event ever held. Threatening weather on January 16 didn’t keep away the participants who came from 31 U.S. states and three other countries – Brazil, England, and Mexico – to take part in the Museum of Aviation fundraiser sponsored by Houston Healthcare. The top three finishers in each race took home cash prizes of $250, $150 and $100 each plus their trophies.
