Central Georgia Middle School Math Competition at Bonaire on March 6

Bonaire Middle School will host a middle school math competition for central Georgia on Saturday, March 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Currently, 10 schools from eight counties have registered.  Students from Bibb, Crawford, Crisp, Hancock, Houston, Pulaski, Sumter, and Twiggs counties will compete in this interactive contest.
 
During the awards ceremony, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Place trophies will be presented for each grade level, based on the written and ciphering test.  A medal will also be awarded to the top performing individual student from every participating school.  Honorable Mention ribbons will be presented to students who score is in the top 25 percent on the written test and ciphering questions.  In addition, competitors will have the opportunity to try to win their math coach a prize.  An awards ceremony will be held at the end of the contest.  The event is sponsored by Robins Federal Credit Union and Pitts Electric Company of Macon.
