Artists Sought for 24th Annual National Juried Arts Exhibition in Douglasville

The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County will present the 24th Annual National Juried Arts Exhibition, selected by Kevin Grogan, Executive Director of the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta.  The exhibition will open on Thursday, November 4, and will be on view through Friday, December 3.  There will be an artist reception on Sunday, November 7, at 3 p.m., hosted by juror Kevin Grogan.
 

August Toddler Tales at the Byron Public Library

Bring your children ages 4 and under out to the Byron Public Library each Wednesday in August at 11 a.m. for fun stories, songs, and crafts. Each Wednesday will have a different theme:
August 4 – Sunshine
August 11 – Watermelons
August 18 – Ladybugs
August 25 – Ice cream
Parents and kids alike will enjoy this special time together! The library is located at 105 Church Street. Call (478) 956-2200 for further information.

Green Frog Holds Its Last Frog Hop On July 31

The Green Frog Coffee Shop will be having its last "Frog Hop" on July 31.  Due to illness, the Green Frog is looking for new ownership.  The coffee shop has become such a treasure on Main Street and would be missed by all.  For more information on the Hop, as well as inquiries regarding the sale of The Green Frog, please call (478) 320-1669.
