About Us
MyTown Magazine (previously published under the titles "Around Town North Macon" and "Around Town Warner Robins / Perry") is a monthly community magazine for Middle Georgia residents. The mission of MyTown Magazine is to build a sense of community and pride by providing residents and businesses with positive stories and timely information that spotlights local residents, organizations, and businesses operating and working together.
Jennifer Williams Bucholtz - Publisher/CEO
Jennifer first started publishing magazines in 2007, under the titles Around Town - North Macon and Around Town - Warner Robins/Perry (introduced in 2008). MyTown Magazine was introduced to the Middle Georgia community in October 2009, releasing a rebranding and combining the two monthly community magazines into one more-inclusive magazine.
Jennifer is married to Dr. Kevin Bucholtz, an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Mercer University. They have one dog, Dexter. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys golfing, kayaking, and mountain biking.
Graduating in the top two percent of her high school class, earning a B.A./B.S. at the University of Rochester, and continuing her education in business through an MBA at Mercer University, Jennifer has long been a big supporter of her local community. In 1998, she was recognized by the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans through the Horatio Alger-Louis Feinstein Enriching America Award, one of only 120 awarded nationally in 1998. She also was recognized with the Prudential Spirit of Community Award for outstanding volunteer services to her community and by Jane Dee Hull, former Governor of the State of Arizona, for outstanding service to the State of Arizona.

Tom Pender - Copy Editor/Writer
Tom Pender wrote his first book at age 6, and many one-picture-with-one-sentence-per-page “family classics” followed. He was interested in drawing throughout his early childhood and teens, but reading and writing were always a passion. He began writing poetry at age 15, and over the next 18 years, wrote over 300 poems. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1989 with a B.A. in Journalism and Public Relations. Writing and editing professionally for Sony Electronics and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, among others, he moved to Middle Georgia in 1999. He published a collection of poems entitled An Angel Chained in 2000. He has three sons: Nick, Garrett, and John Christian. A dog person all his life, Tom hopes to get a Samoyed puppy someday.
