FPD Viking Chorus Contributes To Ronald McDonald House


The First Presbyterian Day School Viking Chorus recently participated in the “Fill the Pantry” project for the Ronald McDonald House. Chorus members brought items such as paper towels, cups, drinks, cleaning supplies, games and office items. The House is a place families can stay while their children are in the nearby hospital. 
 
The chorus is directed by Mrs. Ashley Childers.

Sam's Club Donates to Macon State Foundation


Sam’s Club representative Sharon Smith (front center) presents $1,000 check to the Macon State College Foundation’s Annual Campaign.  The Foundation supports the mission of Macon State by providing student scholarships, classroom and program enhancement, and collaborative community projects.  Representing Macon State are students (L-R) Charlie East, Shoshona Banks, Lila Castellano, and Todd Bates.  Accepting the check on the Foundation's behalf is Jessica Johnson (back center), development coordinator.

Houston High Spreads Holiday Cheer To The Troops


The Houston County High School FBLA recently participated in Operation Seasons Greetings, a global service project for the holidays.  Members typed personal letters to servicemen and women serving in the military overseas, wishing them happy holidays and giving words of appreciation and encouragement.

Perry High Honors CTAE Student of the Month


Perry High School’s Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education Department recently recognized Abbie Cook as the Student of the Month.  Cook, a freshman, has quickly become active in the leadership opportunities offered by the Perry High Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Chapter.
